Friday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. Join Dr. Mitch Wagener as he leads a discussion on droughts and floods and how they have dislocated people throughout history. As Earth’s climate has warmed, both wet and dry weather events have grown stronger and more frequent. More people, particularly those least responsible, bear an increased burden. Dr. Wagener has been teaching ecology, climate ecology, and related courses at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury since 1996 and has received numerous awards.
