If you are an older adult who has been looking for reliable home repair services, you may qualify for Housatonic Habitat For Humanity’s “Brush with Kindness” Home Repair Program!
The program offers home repairs at no cost for homeowners who are 60 years of age or older with a monthly income of $2,600 or less per month. The program serves homeowners in the following towns in Connecticut: Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Washington, Wilton and Weston.
As part of the program, home repair projects might include:
- Interior painting
- Yard cleanup
- Garage door fix
- Screen door replacement
- Insulation of the home
- Installation of door locks, smoke alarms, drapes or blinds
- Repair of cabinets, vinyl flooring, lighting fixtures, or leaks
