The Women’s Center in Danbury, Connecticut provides free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including women, men, and children. The organization is open 24-hours a day, 365 days a year with two 24-hour hotlines and on-site emergency response at local hospitals and police departments.
The Women’s Center serves more than 30,000 women, men, and children annually in the 13 town region of western Connecticut, including Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, and Washington. The free and confidential services are available to anyone who needs support or assistance, no matter their age, gender, or socio-economic status.

The Women’s Center services also include advocacy, counseling, crisis intervention, education and training on various topics and issues, emergency residential facilities, human trafficking assistance, and more. Their victim advocates in Danbury Court help with restraining orders and advocacy for victims, and counselors on the Western Connecticut State University campus provide services to male and female students. The Women’s Center also have educators who provide outreach and education on healthy boundaries, bullying, self-esteem, and more to the youth in elementary schools through college level.
