“Spring is the time of plans and projects.” – Leo Tolstoy
Spring time! Coming out of the dark winter, and transitioning into a totally new season feels like a renewal of sorts. It’s also the perfect time to embark on the tasks of spring cleaning, home projects, starting that new garden in the backyard, and more. To help you get started, view our guide of all the ways you can get ready for spring:
1. Spring Cleaning
It’s time to declutter! After the winter and holiday season, many of us can build up unwanted items, empty boxes, or trash that we don’t want around the house. This is where spring cleaning comes in! To properly spring clean be sure to dust the main areas of your home, clean out closets and all drawers and cabinets with those expired medications. Lastly wash all your sheets, blankets and towels for a fresh start to the new season.
2. Home Renovations
Now that the dark winter is over, it’s the perfect time to take on those home renovations you’ve been putting to the side, especially any outdoor projects. Take advantage of the mild temperatures and take on home renovations or outdoor projects now, that way you’ll be able to have them wrapped up and ready to enjoy by summer.
3. Gardening
We all know that spring is the time when things are blossoming, both figuratively and literally! If you’ve been delaying a backyard planting project, now is the time to take it on and give yourself a wonderful garden before summer arrives. With the bees also coming out to pollinate it makes it an ideal time to get those seeds planted.
4. Rearrange Furniture
Ready to give your house a whole new look? An easy and affordable way to do a simple refresh this spring is to rearrange your furniture and add new accent pieces for a pop of color. Maybe you’ve always wanted to have a nook by the window to watch the sunset, or a designated space for your favorite books or photographs. A little change goes a long way, and it can make things feel brand new.
5. Seasonal Recipes
A favorite thing about spring for many are all of the recipes that can be used now with the seasonal fruits and veggies! Plan out a few new seasonal recipes to try and invite your friends and family over to enjoy a taste of something new and delicious.
Happy Spring!
