Last week, Beth Ann Fetzer, Vice President and Community Development Officer at Savings Bank of Danbury, was featured in a segment on WTNH’s CT Style. Beth Ann spoke about safe banking for seniors and how financial abuse for older Americans can take many forms. She said that it is vital for both senior citizens and their caregivers to stay on their guard when it comes managing finances. Beth Ann urged senior citizens to be cautious when they receive phone calls or mailings asking for money or bank account numbers. She also encouraged caregivers to be vigilant and to carefully monitor their loved ones finances to help protect them against any sort of fraud.
