Believe it or not, Medicare’s open enrollment period is coming up on the horizon. From October 15th to December 7th, all Medicare beneficiaries can make changes to their health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year. If you are already enrolled in a plan and do not want to make a change for 2018, then you can simply relax. However, if you need to make an adjustment or enroll in a plan, then you are encouraged to do so during this period. To better prepare yourself for open enrollment, you can take a look at the information in the Health Insurance & Benefits section of our Senior Resources page.
In the coming weeks, a couple of our senior centers will be holding discussions on Medicare’s open enrollment period. Also, you are always welcome to contact our senior centers directly if you want to learn more about Medicare’s coverage options or if you need help with choosing a plan that best fits your needs. For more information, you can also check out the resources on the National Council on Aging’s website.
