Today, May 6th, is National Nurses Day. We would like to recognize and thank the wonderful nurses taking care of our family members, neighbors, and community as a whole. Nurses have played a vital role in the wellness of Americans across the country and have risked their own wellbeing in taking the front lines in hospitals during COVID-19.
A ceremony to commemorate National Nurses Day was held with Governor Lamont outside of Hartford Hospital on May 6, 2020. The Governor also tweeted, “Happy #NationalNursesDay to all of the courageous, dedicated nurses across our state. Nurses work tirelessly to keep us safe and healthy. It’s an incredibly tough job, made even more difficult in recent weeks. Thank you for protecting our families, neighbors, and loved ones.”
