Ballard Museum of Puppetry and Lunch at Dog Lane Cafe
September 4th
Enjoy a trip to one of America’s hidden treasures: The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry. It houses more than 2,500 puppets from all over the world, along with manuscripts, posters, drawings, photographs and more about the history of puppets. After the tour, everyone will be able to make their own charming rod puppet. The cost is $12 payable at sign up. Have lunch on your own after the museum at Dog Lane Café nearby. Organized by the Woodbury Senior Center.
Averill Farms and White Horse Pub
September 11th
Take a trip to the town of Washington, Connecticut to Averill Farm, a tenth-generation family farm on a gorgeous hilltop offering fall fruits and goodies from area farms such as ice cream, maple syrup pumpkins, and honey. After apple picking at the orchard, enjoy a delicious lunch at the White Horse Pub.

Shaker for a Day
September 17th
Head to a Utopian Village for the day and relive their simple peaceful life-style. This trip includes a guided tour, buffet lunch, and a cider and cheese reception.

Glazey Dayz and Lunch at the Farm Shoppe in Watertown
September 25th
First, have lunch at The Farm Shoppe on your own. Then, make a dish at Glazy Dayz. Glass fusing is the fun and creative technique used to join glass pieces together by partly melting the glass at high temperatures.

Longwood Gardens-Festival of Fountains
September 25th – 27th
Join the Day Trippers on their first extended day trip through Delaware to Pennsylvania with highlights to include the Winterthur Estate with the special exhibit “Costuming the Crown”, the Festival of Fountains at Longwood Gardens including the spectacular Illuminated Fountain Performances, and lunch on board the Moshulu-four-mastered steel barque.
