Summer is in full swing and July 4th is on the horizon. The Fourth of July or Independence Day has been a federal holiday in the U.S. since 1943. It is one of our country’s most cherished celebrations as the day honors the signing of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress in 1776. Many have this day off from work and choose to celebrate by gathering with family and friends to enjoy a backyard BBQ or picnic. Of course, any July 4th celebration will not be complete without a few fireworks. For a roundup of all the fireworks and July 4th celebrations happening in our area, please see our list below!
